With MacUpdate Desktop, users can install apps on MacUpdate.com in one click, then get instant update alerts when its product page is updated. Our team of Content Editors manually verify MacUpdate Desktop compatibility of each app in our database. You can see whether or not your app is a compatible with MacUpdate Desktop by viewing your app on your Developer Profile page. It will have one of three labels:

• Not Tested with Desktop: If your app is marked as Not Tested with Desktop, then our team of Content Editors has not yet reviewed your app. Let us know it needs to be done! Until it is tested, it will not have the Install Now w/ MacUpdate Desktop icon on its product page, it will not show up in a user’s MacUpdate Desktop update notification list, and it cannot be installed via MacUpdate Desktop’s in-app search and install feature.
• Compatible with Desktop: If your app is marked as Compatible with Desktop, then our team of Content Editors has tested the app and found that it functions with MacUpdate Desktop. It will have the Install Now w/ MacUpdate Desktop icon on its product page, it will show up in a user’s MacUpdate Desktop update notification list, and it will be available for install directly within the MacUpdate Desktop via the in-app search field.
• Not Compatible with Desktop: If your app is marked as Not Compatible with Desktop, then our team of Content Editors has reviewed the app and concluded that it will not install with MacUpdate Desktop. There are many reasons this could be the case. As a result, it will not have the Install Now w/ MacUpdate Desktop icon on its product page, it will not show up in a user’s MacUpdate Desktop update notification list, and it cannot be installed via MacUpdate Desktop’s in-app search and install feature.
